I won 1st place at the “Make it Square” photography contest by dpreview.com! The rules are a square-crop of an image. Square-crops are rarely seen, but they can be done effectively. For this contest, I submitted this image of the Torii gates at Fushimi Inari in Kyoto:
The square patterns truly lend themselves to the crop and this contest.
